This is an article in GQ regarding the 40 worst dressed cities in the country. They put Miami as #9 on this list. Whoever wrote this has never been to Miami I can tell you this with 100% certainty.
"
... A bachelorette party Mecca, Miami hosts a perennial "fleet week" of wasted, self-hating bridesmaids who grope blindly for washboard abs. No wonder so many South Beach dudes look like they're between shifts at Night Train. Third buttons hold on for dear life. Acid-washed jeans constellate under the black lights in the club. And those pointed-toe loafers...faux-alligator? The world's your music video, bro.—Robert Fischer "
WUT? And they show a picture of three women who do not by any stretch of the imagination represent the way women really dress in the Magic City

Last Minute Mother's Day gift ideas
Mothers Day is quickly approaching, so what’s topping wish lists this year? Style expert, Jeannine Morris gave us the scoop.
Something hot this year that Mom’s will love are these cool watches from Timex…their Modern Originals Easy Reader. The monochromatic, darker hues are great for a night out, while the white with rainbow numerals add a fun pop of color. At Nordstroms for $65. They also have a weekender collection with really fun colors…for a more casual look. These have interchangeable nylon slip-thru straps that are so cool…$34.99 dollars at Target.
For a little pampering pick up the L’Occitane Delightful Hands collection gift set. A trio of hydrating and nourishing hand creams with delicate peony scent, smoothing almond and shea butter. It smooths and protects your hands. Best part, the set comes beautifully wrapped…a perfect gift for $28. They also have a Pivoine Delicate collection with eau de toilette and shimmering powder that leaves behind a delicate floral scent…so pretty starting at $12. L’Occitane products are available at usa.loccitane.com and in 160 L’Occitane boutiques throughout the U.S.
Makeup is always fun for mom and Ulta ( I LOVE Ulta!) has some awesome things with really great values, like their 5-in-1 color collection. It’s a 61 piece collection with 5 different palettes to create custom looks. 10 eye shadows, with coordinating cheek shades, 2 mini lip glosses and 3 dual ended eyeliners for $24.99. I recently bought a make up kit in a three tier faux alligator case for 20 bucks.
They also have exclusive Smashbox Shades Of Fame Reflection Lip Gloss Kits, $29 ---5 ultra-shiny travel size lip glosses, so cute. And if your mom likes to do her nails, try Ulta’s 5-piece Nail Lacquer Collection, $9.95. It’s a professional 5 piece mini pack in really fun summer shades.
One of the most thoughtful and heartfelt gifts you can celebrate with this Mother’s Day is the ‘gift of giving.’ JOHNSON'S® Baby has just launched a new charitable platform, JOHNSON'S® Baby CARES –and they’re donating thousands of JOHNSON'S® Baby CARES Kits, filled with washes, shampoos, diaper creams and lotions to Save the Children, to help families in need care for their babies in times of disaster.
This is all part of the brand’s commitment to the healthy development of babies and its’ mission to support families around the world.

Panera Bread Pompano Beach -Review
Today's review was supposed to be a review of Panera Bread located at 2101 North Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. I showed up wearing my Miami Style official shirt with our logo and intended to sample various items on their menu. Now, we came back to Panera after a long hiatus as the chain stopped serving some of their better soups a couple of years ago. Some other locations in the Miami area have even stopped offering the broccoli cheddar soup. Unfortunately, we were unable to review any of these items for Miami Style or my column with the Examiner. I am only able to say that their customer service at this location is severely lacking.
When I arrived, there were a few customers ahead of me. One of the cashiers finished taking a customer's order and without saying a word, walked away from the register. She began helping out in the kitchen area and I did not see her with gloves on after having handled filthy currency.
Another cashier came up to the second register and started taking the orders of those who arrived several minutes after I did. Neither of these cashiers made eye contact or even acknowledged me.
Disgusted, I left the store and I vow never to return. For the money there are other cafes in the area that provide much better customer service. Take your business there.
